Octopus Energy Group is a multinational group of companies in the fields of energy generation and supply. It was founded in 2015 with the backing of Octopus Group, a British asset management company. Headquartered in London, it has operations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and the United States. Octopus Energy is the UK's largest supplier of domestic electricity and gas, with customers in 7.3 million households as of December 2024[update].
