Ochsner Health System is a not-for-profit health system based in the New Orleans metropolitan area of southeast Louisiana, United States.[5] As of 2023[update] it is the largest non-profit, academic healthcare system operating in Louisiana, with 46 hospitals and over 370 health and urgent care centers across the Gulf South.[1][6][7] Its flagship hospital, Ochsner Medical Center, has been ranked the number one hospital in Louisiana for the past decade,[8][9][10] and is among the largest hospitals in America.[11] It also has other clinics and medical centers in Greater New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Monroe, Lafayette, and other locations across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.[1][12]
